I have this blanket and absolutely love it! I love Secure2Me blankets and I believe every mom should have one. I first purchased this blanket along with one of the medium weight and one of light weight blankets for our family trip to Japan and Korea for our then 13 months old daughter in October 2008. We used all the blankets for different occasions. The blankets never touched the ground during our many rides on rails and in and out of taxis. It kept my daughter comfy and secured in her Sit n Stroll stroller. We are using this blanket now during the winter and my daughter gives me nice smile every time I put this blanket on her during our car rides. I haven't used any other blankets since every time we go outside. I wished I would have gotten these blankets sooner. It makes a great baby shower gift. We were swayed by the height and weight limit for this car seat as our previous two children both grew out of the other one by the time they were one. So, we decided to go with this one since it claims it will accomodate an infant up to 30/32. The problem is with the leveling system...if you adhere to the guidelines the baby's head is tilted with the chin ending up in their chest which inhibits their ability to breathe. Also, it doesn't necessarily accomodate a smaller newborn...our daughter was 6 lbs, 8 oz and 19" long and these straps barely have the ability to tighten enough to be snugly safe. If we had the money we would go back to buying an Eddie Bauer model like we had with our two older children. We wish we'd kept the other one, but this was a surprise baby and we had already donated the other to a needy family.

Also, the car seat does not latch in a shopping cart and therefore has to be placed in the largest part of the cart for safety reasons which makes shopping for more than a couple of things virtually impossible.

I would highly recommend this seat for newborns/infants and toddlers who are slimmer/lankier than most other kids.

My first child had the Eddie Bauer seats, and I was always bothered that when he slept, after facing the seat forward, his head would always droop forward. So, with my second I was determined to get this nicer seat. I was so glad I did up until now (28 months). My daughter starts screaming and struggling to get out after about 10 minutes. She's a normal sized baby - not overweight or underweight - but now that she's getting bigger, the straps seem to bother her to no end. They seem to be too tight at her neck. Also, the seat doesn't sit fully upright. It has 2 settings and neither one sits her in a normal upright position, which I think also bothers her. Perhaps if she was a skinnier kid like her older brother.

I LOVED the seat for her as an infant - it was super easy to install and didn't budge - even with the bulkiness of it. But, now, unfortunately, I'm going to have to sell it and put her her older brother's Cosco/Eddie Bauer seats!

Also, the seat cover and straps have been washed numerous times and still look brand new. But, it is quite tricky to clean the "undercarriage" nooks and crannies.
