I love Secure2Me blankets and I believe every mom should have one. I first purchased this blanket along with one of the medium weight and one of light weight blankets for our family trip to Japan and Korea for our then 13 months old daughter in October 2008. We used all the blankets for different occasions. The blankets never touched the ground during our many rides on rails and in and out of taxis. We were swayed by the height and weight limit for this car seat as our previous two children both grew out of the other one by the time they were one. So, we decided to go with this one since it claims it will accomodate an infant up to 30/32. The problem is with the leveling system...if you adhere to the guidelines the baby's head is tilted with the chin ending up in their chest which inhibits their ability to breathe. Also, it doesn't necessarily accomodate a smaller newborn...our daughter was 6 lbs, 8 oz and 19" long and these straps barely have the ability to tighten enough to be snugly safe. If we had the money we would go back to buying an Eddie Bauer model like we had with our two older children. We wish we'd kept the other one, but this was a surprise baby and we had already donated the other to a needy family.

Also, the car seat does not latch in a shopping cart and therefore has to be placed in the largest part of the cart for safety reasons which makes shopping for more than a couple of things virtually impossible.

I would highly recommend this seat for newborns/infants and toddlers who are slimmer/lankier than most other kids.

My first child had the Eddie Bauer seats, and I was always bothered that when he slept, after facing the seat forward, his head would always droop forward. So, with my second I was determined to get this nicer seat. I was so glad I did up until now (28 months). My daughter starts screaming and struggling to get out after about 10 minutes. She's a normal sized baby - not overweight or underweight - but now that she's getting bigger, the straps seem to bother her to no end. They seem to be too tight at her neck. Also, the seat doesn't sit fully upright. It has 2 settings and neither one sits her in a normal upright position, which I think also bothers her. Perhaps if she was a skinnier kid like her older brother.

I LOVED the seat for her as an infant - it was super easy to install and didn't budge - even with the bulkiness of it. But, now, unfortunately, I'm going to have to sell it and put her her older brother's Cosco/Eddie Bauer seats!

Also, the seat cover and straps have been washed numerous times and still look brand new. But, it is quite tricky to clean the "undercarriage" nooks and crannies.

I'm going to go ahead and second the recommendations of the previous reviewer to research extended rear facing and the Kyle David Miller Foundation. We got this seat as a secondary car seat to be used in the grandparents cars. Our primary is a Britax Boulevard.
I have installed this seat probably 8 separate times now, in two different Ford Focuses and one Honda Ridgeline. My son is almost 23 pounds and almost 32 inches at 15 months old. We are continuing to rear face because it is five times safer than forward facing at this point. Now on to the car seat!
I installed it first in the Honda Ridgeline, and it took me about a half an hour to get a good install. To correct the previous reviewer, it doesn't have to have less than one inch of movement at the head of the car seat, but at the belt path. That means you should NOT be able to move it more than one inch in any direction where the seat belt or the LATCH belt is connected. I have to stick a knee into the seat and put a lot of weight into it and simultaneously pull the LATCH strap to get less than an inch of movement, but it's a small price to pay for safety.
I also have the same problem with the difficulty in tightening the shoulder harness, and have heard that complaint from many other people with the My Ride. I finally got it tight enough, but have no idea how I did it and am afraid to loosen it at all or I won't get it back.
I had the same issue with the cover as well where it pops off of the cup holders and also the top. I called Graco, and they sent me a replacement cover right away. I got it within three days. I haven't had a chance to put it on yet, but we haven't used the seat in awhile either.
All in all, it is a good seat for the money. If you have a tight budget and are looking for a high weight limit rear facing seat, this is a good one.
I personally like the deepness of the seat, he actually has more leg room in this than he does in his Britax Boulevard.
Again, after installing a seat, find a certified car seat technician in your area to go over your install, they can help you learn how to do it correctly. You can find one in your area by going to this website: [...]

Remember, the American Academy of Pediatrics have recently changed their recommendations regarding car seats, and now recommend rear facing until at least age 2 and 30 pounds, NOT age 1 and 20 pounds.

I normally trust Graco products, and even though I could only find one picture of this product, I bought it, trusting a good product coming from Graco! Not so.

The 'blanket' that is rolled up inside a small pocket inside the 'boot' is actually a teeny strip of very thin fleece fabric, shaped in a triangle, that would probably only cover a preemie baby. Not even close to keeping them warm.

The boot is a navy blue, elastic cover that goes over top the bottom half of the car seat, top half is completely left exposed. It is made out of crispy windbreaker material, not at all what I would consider baby friendly.

I would not recommend this product to anyone.

This stroller is bulky, large, and awkward. The wheels spin around and get stuck easily, and my undercarrage tray is always collapsing. Worst of all are the hideous straps. There are little clips that slide into the center piece and then snap into the crotch snap. You have to hold onto four pieces and then snap them into the middle. I don't know about you, but my toddler does not stay perfectly still while I'm trying to put her in the seat. It's a nightmare.

My Ride 65 Car Seat - Flair Best Quality

The main reason I started looking for a new car seat was to find one that waould support my daughter better because she is an "Instant Car Napper", from the second you pull out of the drive. Her other seat was just not supporting her head and the sides were not snug around her either. We went to Target and tried out all the seats and found this one in the Blue. I figured they had to have a pink one and that is when I found it on the internet here. We really like it. Adjusting the straps are a breeze and it is perfect if you have a napper like I do. The head supports come out a bit farther than regular seats do and there is so much cushioning, I am jealous! Two cup holders, 1 for a drink and one to put snacks in or for the other child sitting next to her to use it, are nice. Cover comes off good. By far the best out of about 8 car seats we have owned over the years through many kids. The latech system works great in the H3 Hummer that we have. The seats sits up a little higher than I would like in it, but she loves to be able to look out and round in it, so It works great for her. I recommend this seat over any of the others. To try it out before buying, they sell the basic baby blue one at Target. You can get the pink, blue, black or purple one online though, thru here or at [...]also. We were looking for a lightweight stroller that can be used for a 3 - 4 month old baby since we have a heavier Graco travelsystem (which we love!). The Metrolight is very convenient for just a quick run to the store with the baby without having to lug a big travelsystem and when you don't need a car seat.

The only think I would've changed was the folding mechanism, it's very cumbersome b/c the wheels have to be locked in the front, etc. etc. before it can close fully. Trying to fold this stroller while holding a 3 - 4 month old is difficult enough.

I bought the Graco Lite Rider when my chunky 6 month old outgrew his infant seat that we were using with a Snap-and-Go. I had a Graco Quattro Tour with my older son, and I loved it, but I wanted something a little lighter and easier to maneuver this time around. The Lite Rider does meet those requirements, and very well. But I do miss having the amenities of the Quattro Tour.

Overall, I think this is a decent stroller, but not a great one. I would recommend it for shopping trips and quick jaunts, and for people with limited trunk space in their cars, but not for long walks or intense daily use.

Pros:

* Wonderful fabric! My Lite Rider is in the "Pippin" design, not "Tango in the Tongo." They are the same stroller body, though. I love, LOVE the Pippin design. Adorable for a boy or girl. It's attractive without being too cutesy, durable, and comfortable for baby.

* Huge storage basket for a lightweight stroller.

* Decent canopy with a window.

* Child tray and parent tray make the Lite Rider a huge improvement over an umbrella stroller.

* It is indeed light, and it rolls smoothly on pavement or indoors. It's a great choice if you have to lug your stroller upstairs, or in and out of the car frequently.

Cons:

* It's a smidge too short. I do okay with this stroller. I'm just over five-feet-four-inches tall, and it is only a little lower than I'd like it to be; I'm not totally comfortable, but I'm not hunched over, either. But my husband has to slouch a bit, and at five-foot-nine, he is not a large man. Skip this one if you're tall, as there is no way to adjust the height the way you can on some other Graco models.

* The child tray sticks out awkwardly when the stroller is folded, and it also does not swing open and closed.

* The stroller must be reclined to be folded, so if you usually want to use it in the not-reclined position (and I do), you have to straighten it up every single time you unfold it. The basket needs a tug every time you unfold the stroller, too. These little things add up when you're juggling a squirmy baby, a diaper bag, and whatever else.

* The parent tray is attached with 2 screws, but it really needs 4. It keeps popping up in the back. It won't come off, the two screws in the front are tight, but it is annoying.

The bottom line: this stroller is not great competition for a full-sized stroller like the Quattro Tour. It feels cheaper and it just doesn't have those nice extras. I don't think it will last a terribly long time. But when you compare it to an umbrella stroller, it comes out leaps and bounds ahead. So it definitely fills an important niche in the stroller market.

I had the snugrides for my boys when they were babies but they only could use the seat for 4-6mos tops b/c they are big boys. I had thought about getting a Radian for my daughter's first seat, but I wanted something portable and the Radian does not come out as it does not have a handle.

The safeseat was a great compromise. It lasted a year and a half and in the meantime, I could save up for the Radian 65. I'm for extended rear facing til 35lbs and this seat made it very easy as it doesn't press babies legs up against the seat. I love love love the carseat. I had an older snugride and hated it but this one is soooo updated and awesome. My son falls asleep everytime he gets in it. He never fusses when we buckle him in. I wanted a seat that only went to 22 pounds because lets face it who wants a haul around a 30 pound baby plus carseat? I get so many compliments. We have this same system (but different color/pattern). I love how comfortable it is to push and for my son to sit in. We purchased it for an infant (I am 6 months pregnant), but until the baby comes, my 3 1/2 year old son is using the stroller. Pros: Fairly easy to get in and out of the car. There is a cup holder too, which is nice. The seat is also very easy to adjust as your child grows. Works from children 20-100 lbs. so I won't have to buy another seat until we are ready to go to the booster.

Cons: Seems like your child will have to get used to sleeping in it at first. My daughter couldn't figure out how to position her head when she slept. It took about two car trips for her to find a position she liked and now she sleeps comfortably in the seat all the time.

I never had any of the issues that other reviewers had with the cover coming undone nor did I find the clip easy to un-clip. I very please with the car seat.

My husband and I decided on this system after trying several different systems in the store. (We took ever single one down and snapped the carseat on/off and folded up the stroller). We chose this one because it felt the most durable, the wheels were sturdy and it had strong metal bracing--where the others had plastic or aluminum.

I have had this system for 3 months, and I am completely happy with it. The only thing I can complain about is how loud the handle on the carseat is when it snaps up (this can be prevented by holding the buttons in), and how it is a little tricky to put things in the basket under the stroller.

I take this with me everywhere, to the store, through the airport, and on daily walks, and I have never had an unpleasant experience with it. It seems like they have thought of everything. Especially the ease of folding and unfolding the stroller, and snapping/unsnapping the carseat into the base.

I have read other reviews online and I do not think the harness system is any harder than other car seats out there. And I have to say that my son is extremely comfortable in the carseat or in the stroller alone. I highly recommend this.

This stroller offers many features including dual cup holders for mom and dad, adjustable seat, storage underneath, and one hand folding. The ride is nice and smooth for baby. The ONLY negative I have on this is that even folded, it is huge. Do not buy this stroller if you have a compact car. I have a mid size sedan and a compact. It JUST fits in the mid-size but is a no go on the Corolla.

My wife and I recently had our first child. As her due date approached (Nov 7, 2008) we started shopping around for all the necessary products, including strollers and car seats. Once we settled on getting a travel system (based on various recommendations from friends), we shopped around at local stores for the right one.

We had always heard good things about the Graco name, so we compared the various Graco systems with the more expensive Eddie Bauer versions. This Graco system was clearly lighter than others, but it did not appear to sacrifice quality and durability. So, we settled on Graco.

Well, on October 9 (4 weeks early) my daughter was ready to be born, so I immediately ordered this travel system from Amazon (on my iPhone). We have been using it faithfully since we brought our daughter home a few days later.

The car seat is very well constructed and I feel comfortable that my baby is safe. The stroller is very maneuverable and the rubber wheels roll smoothly on asphalt and concrete. The system is kind of heavy and bulky with the baby in it, but I think that drawback is clearly offset by the convenience of an all-in-one system that will grow with your child and being able to keep your baby in the infant seat when you take him/her out of car.

I almost did not buy a travel system because I was looking at a more versatile carseat, but my friends who have children talked me into buying this, and I am so glad they did. My son loves his carseat, he falls asleep in it all the time and I have never had a problem with his head getting cranked to the side like I have seen with some other carseats when the baby falls asleep. He has fit into it just fine, from coming home from the hospital to now, and he is almost 4 months and 16 lbs. It is a little heavy at first, but you get used to it once you get your buff "mom arms." The stroller is solid and had lots of little comparments to put your stuff in, like a sunglasses holder and we use the cup holders everytime. Underneath there is plenty of room for the diaper bag as well as shopping bags. The seat snaps right into the stroller and I honestly don't know what people who say it is not secure are talking about. This car seat clip came with no instructions to install. After spending an hour unbuttoning and taking off the mountain buggy fabic seat to put in the car seat holder, I found that once I attached it and put the graco seat in, there was no way to make the carseat stay put. The carseat wouldn't clip properly and it's so unsafe, there is NO WAY I would use it and put my baby in it. The carseat can just fall out. I was extremely disappointed and frustruated with this product. Unsafe and not worth the money.
